Brilliant Paoletti Wins Sprint Races - Team Belarus Win Nations Cup In Qatar

Thursday, 13 March, DOHA (Qatar): Italy’s Stefano Paoletti produced two virtuoso performances completing the win-double in today’s two 24-lap Sprint Races.

But it was Team Belarus with consistent high points’ scores and podium finishes in the Match and Sprint Races who took overall honours to win the first round of the UIM Nations Cup World Series in Qatar by one point from Italy.

Bad Weather Wins The Day - Sprint Races Rescheduled For Thursday

Wednesday, 12 March, DOHA (Qatar): For the second day in a row poor weather conditions disrupted the UIM Nations Cup racing programme, forcing race officials to postpone today’s scheduled practice session and two sprint races, which will now take place tomorrow (Thursday 13).

Team Italy Win Match Race To Take Early Lead In UIM Nations Cup

Tuesday, 11 March, DOHA (Qatar): Team Italy grabbed the early lead in the UIM Nations Cup with Stefano Paoletti winning today’s Match Race in a nail-biting final against Russia’s Kostantin Ustinov, and teammate Marco Gambi taking fourth place after being narrowly beaten by Belarus’ Roman Vandyshev.

Paoletti Quickest In Drama-Filled Qualifying Session

Tuesday, 11 March, DOHA (Qatar): Team Italy’s Stefano Paoletti posted the fastest time of 49.72s in a drama-filled qualifying session on Doha Bay, with Team Malaysia’s Alffian Bin Kadri barrel-rolling 20 minutes into the session bringing out the yellow flag, Team Lebanon’s Lebos Chaguri going over immediately after the restart at the same corner.
